At Ramon’s Tailor
Announcing the San Francisco debut of the Round Table [Collaboration] Postal-Collage Project No. 1, an international project begun in September 2011.
Ramon’s Tailor was one of the 50 collaborators that were assembled in ten groups, ranging in age from 4 to 82, and hailing from the USA, Ireland, the UK, Denmark, France, Germany, and Australia. Collaborators worked separately and delivered works-in-progress by mail to fellow group members. Each person started a collage, contributed to their groups collages-in-progress, and eventually, finished the collage they had initiated all based on a predetermined sequence. This endeavor was the logistical and creative undertaking of Berkeley-based artist Marty McCutcheon.
Ramon’s Tailor is a space for showcasing unique, alternative projects like this that celebrate collaboration and bring together diverse groups of people from all over the world. We’re excited to share it with you.
