Found on the Ground

[split]

A collection of objects that were on display from May-June 2012 at Ramon’s Tailor. Abandoned paintings, remnants from nature or plain old trash; the formalized presentation in the show served to highlight the societal commentary as well as generate a simple query: What is beautiful? What is art?

Over the past decade these objects were collected, gathered or found on city streets or mountain paths; some pieces are natural, some man-made.

The show was intended to allow the viewer to contemplate not only the objects on display, but to ponder further as you encounter your own journeys over many roads, paths, trails and streets. What do you see? What do you ignore? What is beautiful? What is trash? What do you leave behind? and what do you pick-up and take home?
