Come play with City Blocks! Get your hands and mind ready to interact with light and shapes in this fun, three-dimensional video art installation by Bay Area artists Marty McCutcheon and Brad Wise. Cityscapes are projected onto three-dimensional forms made from lightweight recycled materials. Viewers are encouraged to arrange shapes as they please, producing their own city blocks of abstract lines, images and patterns. Come see your city in a different way.
Watch people playing with City Blocks in this fun video put together by the folks at Renegade Screen.
This project is part of AIA San Francisco and the Center for Architecture + Design’s Architecture and the City Festival, which celebrates architecture and design each September. For more information about the festival, please visit: www.archandcity.org.
