On-view through Thanksgiving weekend.
Local artist collective, Aesthetic Appetite, asked Bay Area people who grow, cook, critique, sell, make and enjoy food to contribute to a mock line of generic soups. Selected ideas were fashioned into bold labels which were then wrapped around two-hundred soup cans. The entire collection was installed throughout the Ramon’s Tailor space in various graphic configurations. The results vary from thought-provoking, to whimsical, to mouth-watering.
After the show, the labels will be removed and the cans will be donated to the Food Pantry at St. Anthony’s in the Tenderloin.
